What is the difference between "Performance", "Action Art", "Installation Art" and
Video Art?
When the artist or the body of the artist is in focus, so the acting is part of the artwork, it's a performance. When the artist isn't visible but it's still about people and when it's that fast changing in time that you can see the "Beginning" and then "End", than it's "Action Art" (Happaning is kind of outsourced - not directed by a single artist but by many). Installation is when you can't see it "changing" in time, so it looks always the same, or can be at least restored, and when it's about objects.
However even still some installations like "My Breath rests here" ("Hier ruht mein Atem") have some performance character (at least in the creation phase), but than again not really, because than "the painting of a painting" could be also a performance, so it's more about the focus.
A recorded and shown as a video performance, without real life viewer and the interaction with the viewer like "The 30 € truth" or "Crying for this Video" for example is a
video. (Definition by Bieniek)
(This is a Performance because the artist is visibly acting. If he wouldn't be, it would be "Action Art" - Bieniek's definition)
In the struggle for inexpensive attention and the reputation of a charitable patron, the makers of Deutsche Bank got an idea at the beginning of 2013.
It was to open the gates for a single day to all the thousands and thousands of unemployed Berlin artists. Just the thought that this, in itself, self-evident has a special status, should make you think.
Be that as it may, Deutsche Bank was so gracious to have the Berlin artist exhibited for a day and thus celebrate itself as a heroine.
The procedure for the advertising stunt for the opening of the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle in Berlin was as follows: Everyone can show their work of art for a day in the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle and, in addition, two to three selected people will receive a prize of € 500.
During the exhibition you can be asked to pay again and sweeten the entrance with € 12 bounty.
An action whose genius is only surpassed by the contempt for human beings on which it is based.

Sebastian Bieniek's performance on site:
When Sebastian Bieniek shows up in front of the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle with his "Vogelschiss auf 4 square meter gold" painting, he disturbs the picture. Deutsche Bank tries to get rid of Sebastian Bieniek first with the help of the security guards, then the art officer and finally the press spokesman. But Sebastian Bieniek cannot be scared away. Instead, he calls out to the crowd of people who have been holding out all night in the cold and under inhumane conditions, "You should go home because he has already won the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle competition. So there is nothing left to get. You." waiting would be in vain ".
